Hey how is every one?

I am 19 now, WOW! Really great, On my birthday it felt like a normal day! Just went out and served others. Its special for me to be out here preaching the restored gospel. 19 years of mortal existence just reminds me of my parents. 20 years ago, dad and mom were married. Who knew life for them would be awesome after 20! I am blessed to have good parents who centers Christs teaching at home. I just thank God everyday for the wonderful family I have.

This week we were able to teach people from mainland. I am grateful for the opportunity to help them come unto Christ! Super great experience, I am always strengthened whenever people from mainland come here with that desire. It was one of the best baptismal service too! Really awesome experience. It has been pretty tough lately, can't find any mandarins here in TOLO HARBOR. Hope we find one soon. This week, I was able to go to the temple too. Its really special to go there and feel the peace.

Hope you guys have a great week. I know that as we center our life on Christ's teachings we will be truly blessed. I know Christ lives.

Hello Everyone!

What a week for finding! Almost all our investigators this week canceled the appointment because they had to do something else. Its rough cos one of our investigators went back to China. Another went home but he'll be back in 5 days! Great thing is Richard is back! As we were contacting people on the street the other day, he pat me in the back and said " I am back!" Super funny, I am so excited to be working with him again!

We were only able to teach two full lessons this week. We taught Li yeye and Zhu yeye, both are super cute old people. Li yeye is the best, every time we visit him he always gives us watermelon. Last visit he gave us watermelon and dragon fruit, super nice! He is a really good old guy, he is 80 years old now, and he is taking care of his wife who is currently suffering from Alzheimer. Li nai nai is super cute too! We always find a way to make her laugh, it touches my heart cos I can see the joy of Li yeye whenever he sees Li nai nai laughing with us. Zhu yeye is super cute too! It was funny cos we did a turnover lesson for him cos we thought his mother tongue is Cantonese, it was weird tho cos as we were teaching the lesson he said mandarin is better. Super funny. He is very sincere, he said he wants to learn about Jesus because he wants help. Super humble guy.

We also focused in giving calls this week. We were able to schedule three people for this week, super sweet! Can't wait to meet with them. I am also excited for Richard!

Once again through missionary work I have brought myself unto Christ. I am so grateful for what the gospel brings. I really know that God has once again restored his gospel. Means a lot to me. Really does. I know the Atonement of Christ can enable us to do things that we cant do. I know He lives :)

Don't forget! It's my birthday on the 25th!

HK 20 Quick Week

Hey! How's it going!

Last week was super quick. Elder Shukis and I have been doing great things lately. The reason why this week is so quick is probably because we have been visiting a lot of people.

We were able to do service this week. First time on my mission, its really rare to have service opportunities. We helped an investigator move from Fenling to HungHom. It was fun! It took too long tho, we had to run going to Yuen Long cos we had a lesson. We currently have 2 investigators in Yuen Long. Yuen long is a 45 minute bus ride from DaiPo. So its kinda tiring sometimes, the thing is both of them are really good so the 45 minutes bus ride is worth it. Oh yeah, we've been eating TamZai a lot lately. It is a good place for noodles, recently we ordered the spiciest meal TamZai has to offer. It was really spicy I was dying! Elder Shukis Handled it tho.

This was a really good week. We were able to teach 7 lessons to investigators. They were really spiritual. Its always the best feeling when you feel the spirit during the lesson. We are also finding ways to improve our teaching skills so we have scheduled a couple of return missionaries last week and asked them to evaluate and give us some advice on where we can improve. Its been great so far.

One thing I have learned this week is personal accountability. The best person who can evaluate me is God. At the end of the day I pray and tell the Heavenly Father the things I have done. And I honestly tell Him if I gave my all during that day. Then after that I would pause and receive revelation on where I can improve. Its a really good habit to build up. Its been helping me a lot so far. I Encourage you to do this as well.

I know I am really bad with Letters but one things for sure. I know Jesus Christ Lives!

HK 19 The Unpaid Ministry

Hey there,
This week went by really fast. Elder Shukis and I are just out there all the time! We are having a really great time together as a companionship. We are learning a lot from each other. He has taught me a lot too. I love his conversion story. Elder Shukis was a convert 2 years ago. He was an atheist before being a member. He started going to church when he was 16 for a scouting activity. He became interested in the church because he heard that the church is an unpaid ministry. He was touched by the people serving the church without anything in return. Eventually he got baptized and he is now out here spreading the gospel. A really cool story. He is a cool guy, I am  learning a lot from him.
This week we were all over the place, appointments to appointments. We didn't have a lot of finding time this week because sometimes it takes an Hour to get to appointments. We had exchanges this week, I went to MaOnShan with Elder Liew and did Cantonese work. It was hard cos I cant speak Cantonese at all, all I can say is "O hai Sit Jeung Lau", "O hai FeiLitBan Leigei", "O hai gauuwei gei yigong." "Mm Sik Kong Kuantongwa". That's all I can say, just that! It is enough to get someones number though haha. Anyway President Hawks left this week. So we have a new president now, President Lam! Its gonna be exciting how the mission is gonna be. One thing is for sure tho, everyone is still gonna work hard and be exactly obedient. Elder Shukis and I are doing a lot of role plays during companion study. We are trying to become good teachers. Sometimes its hard cos to be honest I am not good in teaching! Sometimes I just feel like I am the worst teacher after doing role plays, but then I've realized its just like basketball. It takes repitition to learn and master something. So its been great for me, I know what it takes all I have to do is DO IT.
Its July. Don't forget to say Happy Birthday to Brent and Reese. I am loving it out here. I am having fun seeing miracles all the time. What a great time it is to drop the bad habbits out here on the mission. I know the Church is true. I know that God has a plan for each one of us. I know the atonement of Christ enables us to make our weeknesses as our strengths. I know God is just a prayer away.
