HK 98 最後一封電子郵件. 結束了. 再見香港. ( Last Email ).

Wow, time is so fast! Words can't describe how I feel. I have learned a lot over the course of two years. My whole time here in Hong Kong is worth it. Heavenly Father is working a lot of great miracles in this country. The culture here is interesting, the best thing is that I get to meet people from different places around the world. The relationship that I have gained out here is priceless! I've learned a lot about myself in these two years. You really do find yourself as you loose yourself in the service of others.

Well, I am excited with what is going to happen in the future. I have hope and faith that everything will turn out right! It's good to go through some hardships out here. Heavenly Father really does refine us with the many challenges that we get.

I will miss the food in Hong Kong, Dim Sum back at home will never be the same. I will miss the Popo and Soksoks that we meet from time to time. I will miss the funny Cantonese language. I will miss the mainlanders just grabbing us and making us eat their LaoJiaCai! I will miss the people that are super surprised when we start speaking in their language or when they find out that I am not from Hong Kong. I will probably miss the fast pace life of Hong Kong, people here are super hard working! I will miss working with President Lam and my fellow companions and missionaries. I will miss Victoria 3rd branch and its wonderful members. Ah, so many things! I am grateful for all those experiences!

I am most grateful for a knowledge I have gained about the Love that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has for each one of us. He is really there whenever we need him! I love Him! It all makes sense! We really do need a Savior. Without him, nothing makes sense. I know that He lives! God lives. This church is true, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS is so true! I know that the Book of Mormon is true too! I am grateful for the atoning sacrifice of my Savior!

See you in a bit!

Love,

HK 97 The Last 2 Weeks Of My Mission Is Here.

Last week was amazing. Another great week of Missionary work. Happy New Year by the way! Can't believe that it is 2017! I am grateful that up to this point I am still learning some great lessons on my mission. It really doesn't feel like I am leaving very soon. I guess that that is a good sign, right?

Last week we were able to meet with most of our investigators. Kevin is doing pretty well. We taught him the plan of salvation and helped him understand the big role that Jesus Christ plays in the whole plan. He is a really fun guy to teach. Although he talks too much, we are able to handle things and bring things back into the lesson. Really good, I am grateful that I get the chance to teach him. He actually watched the TVB pearl report last monday and he loved it and thinks that it was great for the audience to see. I think it will be great to set a time up for you to meet with him. We can't seem to find the right person to help us teach because Kevin loves to just talk randomly and we are afraid that it will cause some contention. He got the chance to talk to Elder James as well, it was good for him. He couldn't believe that a 70 years old man is still working really hard for the church which he believes in. He definitely felt the spirit as Elder James was testifying and looking at him straight in the eyes. Hopefully we will be able to take him to church this sunday. He really needs to go to church.

Lai Dixiong is doing really well as well. We met with him and it was the first time Elder Stratford taught him. We had a great lesson. Elder Stratford asked some really good questions which helped Lai DiXiong think. I think that it is really goood because Lai DiXiong is used to just closing himself out. He was able to think more in this lesson as we paused to listen to him. Most of the time when we ask him a question he would say " Bu Dong " but then we told him to think for an answer. I guess we are teaching him like a kid, its good that he is starting to think more, and his testimony is definitely getting stronger and stronger. His prayers are really good too! At first this man didn't know how to pray, but now he is saying some great prayers. Church is also a big obstacle to his baptism. So we are hoping that we will be able to find a way to help him come to church more often.

Li Jiu is another great investigator. One of the most if not the most receptive old guy that I have ever met here in Hong Kong. He is really good, he is basically a member but he is just old and is used to his long time routines in life. Like, going to bed really late and getting up late. Also smoking is a problem, which he says that if he stops he can't breathe. We are finding a way to help him so that he can get baptized. Really great guy. Last week, we met with him in his little office when suddenly his boss, who is a referral, finally showed up! A great miracle. We were able to get to know her a little bit more. She is really receptive too. She said that she thinks that church is really important and it is a good place to feel peace. We establish some great expectations as to what we do as missionaries. She said she would come to church some time, too bad she got sick that sunday and wasn't able to come. Next time! We are hoping that this will be a great time for Li Jiu to start testifying as well because he has been incontact with the church for a very long time. Hopefully this is another way to strengthen Li Jiu up. I love that old man.

Livia is great! She said that she really knows that the church is true and she needs to join it. She is really serious about these decisions and is waiting for the right time to be baptized. It is all in her hands right now. We are praying really hard that we can create a great environment for her to feel the spirit. The spirit is so important in teaching lessons!

I was able to meet with Scot today too. He is looking really good. His wife might be baptized this year and I am so excited that they will have this chance to be sealed. I am so excited for this family! It softens my heart as I think about him and his family. He is doing really well in church and he loves serving! He just got another calling and he is doing his very best to magnify it. He will definitely be a big part of building Heavenly Fathers kingdom here on earth. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach him. Miracles do exist!

The branch is doing pretty well. President Zhou has been doing his best to strengthen the individuals in the branch that needs to be strengthened in order to strengthen the unity of the branch. Vic 3 has changed so much and the potential is very high right now. I hope that Heavenly Father will send his prepared people to the branch. There are so many good teachers in the branch that teaches by experiences and most importantly, the spirit! I know that Vic 3 will be the laying foundation of it all.

Elder Woolley and Stratford are great! Elder Stratford, newly called assistant, is doing his best to try to get everything done. He is doing a great job of catching up. Really hard working and there is excitement coming into the companionship.

For me I am doing well. I love my mission and I am glad that I am finishing stronger than I want to. Heavenly Father does answer prayers. The gospel is so simple. I have learned that the most important thing is the action part. As we apply what we learn from the Holy Ghost, we can become better. The best thing is knowing why we should be better and understanding where we are going after this. I am grateful for this eternal perspective! It truly is given from the Father and it works because of His Son. I know that my Savior lives!
